GERTIE’s newest bus shelter has just popped up like a fall mushroom on South Road near to Silva Bay. Although not quite finished, its a beautiful and sturdy structure, built post-and-beam style by a crew of volunteers including John Campbell, Graham MacDonald, Tim Mitchell. Emanuel Bocancea and Ollie Herman, with hot coffee graciously supplied by Sharon Hooton. Many thanks to all! This location is consistently one of GERTIE’s busiest boarding spots, and we’re delighted that our passengers can now stay dry while waiting for the bus.
