1. Monday, Oct. 14, holiday:
Please be advised that the GERTIE bus will not be running on Monday, Oct. 14. This is due to the Thanksgiving Holiday. GERTIE buses are primarily in Service on a regular Monday schedule to provide bus transit to GERTIE customers and related businesses/schools in the Community and for our passengers headed to the Ferry. It was determined that there would be very little demand for the commuter bus runs for the Am and PM on Oct. 14.
Regular Scheduled Service resumes as usual on Tuesday, Oct. 15th.
2. Thanksgiving Studio Tour — GERTIE bus cancelled
Please be advised that the previously announced special bus service will not be operating on Sunday, Oct. 13. The event organizers of the Studio Tour, in consultation with GERTIE members determined that the specific nature of how visitors like to attend at the Artists’ places of business would not provide appropriate value at this time.
GERTIE was prepared to provide Service however, deeming how potential customers of the Studios might choose to spend an variable amount of time at a particular studio, that the planned bus service wasn’t suited at this time. The Studio Tour Organizers and GERTIE members will meet again after this year’s Studio Tour wrap-up and evaluate for next year.
