The Gertie community bus committee wishes to announce that Steve Jackson has stepped down from his position as the coordinator of bus operations. Steve has been the coordinator from our start-up in June of last year, and has played a critical role in the success of the Gertie project. He has put in countless extra hours promoting Gertie, has been behind the wheel more than anyone else, has ensured that we’ve always had drivers to fill the shifts, and has acted as the welcoming face and voice of Gertie. Anyone who has depended on the Gertie bus owes a debt of gratitude to Steve Jackson.
